How long does the DOEP class take?
Texas requirement:  The DOEP class MUST be 15 hours in length taught in five days, three hours a day.

​How long does the DWI class take?
Texas requirement:  The DWIE class MUST be 12 hours in length taught in three days / four hours a day OR four days / three hours a day.  

Do I need to call and register for the class?
You can register and pay for the class all online.  Registering and paying online guarantees your seat in the class, but you can also pay in person by stopping by the office to register and make payment for the class.

What do I need to bring on the first day of class?
The first day of class please arrive ONE HOUR EARLIER to complete the registration paperwork.  Bring proof of identification; case number; name of court, county and state where charge originated; name of referral person / agency (if applicable).

What situations would a class be cancelled?
1.   The state requires a minimum of participants in a class session, if the minimum is not met the class will be cancelled and you will have the opportunity to reschedule for a future class session or receive a refund.  
2.  Also, if there is a report of severe weather, class would be cancelled, and you would be notified.

What happens after I finish the class?
You will be given a “Certificate of Completion”.  The participant will be responsible for providing the court or third parties the original certificate, so copies can be made of the serially- numbered certificate to show proof of completion of the class.

What happens if I lost my “Certificate of Completion?
A duplicate certificate can be issued for a fee of $20.00. The lost certificate will be voided.

What if I am absent from a class?
The state requires you complete all the classes in the same session.  Which means you must attend all the classes in the session you registered for in order to complete the class.  Unfortunately, if you are absent from a class you will be dropped from the class session and will have to register and pay for another class.

Do the classes meet state requirements?
Yes, the curriculum was created and provided by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

Are the instructors certified?
Yes, all instructors completed a one- week training over the curriculum and demonstrate knowledge of information by presentation and testing. Once passed all requirements a certification certificate was issued by the Offender Education Program in Austin, Texas.

Who do I contact if I need to make a complaint?
To report a violation by a licensed individual or company go to : https://www.tdlr.texas.gov/complaints

What if I am unable to register and pay online, can I register and pay on the first day of class?
Yes, call to make sure there is space available and bring cash or a money order to pay for the class.

Can I bring food and drinks?
Yes, snack foods and non-alcoholic drinks are allowed in class.

Where do I park?  Is the office of a bus line?
There is plenty of out- front parking available.  The office is located on the bus line.

Can I bring children or other people to the class?
No, due to the limited space and confidentiality, children and other people not registered for class will not be allowed.

Will accommodation be made for a person with a disability, reading, writing, or language barrier?
Yes, inform the staff of your needed accommodation at least two weeks in advance or as soon as possible and arrangements will be made.
